- Master Electrical License is the highest licensing an electrician can acquire in the state of Colorado. Applicants must submit an Affidavit of Experience Form filled out and signed by an electrical contractor employer showing the applicant has a minimum of 10,000 hours, in no less than 5 years, of commercial and industrial electrical installation. Two thousand of those hours must be in planning, layout and supervision.
- Key Light Electrical was named after the film and photography term "key light." Key Light (as defined by our friends at Wikipedia) - "The Key Light is the first and usually most important light that a photographer, cinematographer, lighting cameraman or other scene composer will use in a lighting setup. The purpose of the key light is to highlight the form and dimension of the subject."
- The name, Key Light Electrical, was chosen because the owner, Mark Mook, has a great passion for and has worked in the film and photography industry for many years.
Get comfy, light up the fireplace and heat up a cup of hot chocolate. Time for a little story...
Key Light Electrical (KLE) had been passion-project and in the works for many years. It was founded early in 2016 by Master Electrician, Mark Mook, in Denver, Colorado. Word of KLE's quality electrical work began to spread throughout the City Park neighborhoods and KLE quickly became a local favorite. Reliable customer service, quality care, dependability, personality and reliability of employees became a common theme of our reputation. In only a few short months, KLE worked on and completed numerous residential remodels and repairs in Denver and the metro area.
In September of 2016, an opportunity arose which took KLE from the capital city of Denver to the heart of the Four Corners region, Durango, Colorado. "Durango was very good to us. Getting out into the community, networking with builders and remodelers and getting to know homeowners was a great experience. Nice thing about Durango is once you do good work for someone, they will recommend to everyone they know which was our effective marketing strategy," states KLE owner, Mark. Mark adds, "we will greatly miss our clients and friends but we are also very excited to get the opportunity to return to the Front Range, getting to know Northern Colorado much better. The things we are able to takeaway from our time in Durango and apply to our next phase will really help us grow as a company. Providing the best customer service while offering a great place for employees to learn and grow in their career will always remain a top priority for KLE."
