This was an electrical service and panel upgrade we performed as part of a kitchen remodel.
Per NEC, when kitchen circuits are upgraded, arc fault breakers are an installation requirement. With this project, however, the old panel would not allow for that because it did not have the available circuit space needed. The result: the existing panel needed to be upgraded to accommodate.
As part of Key Light Electrical's standard estimation process, we recognized this and made sure to inform the client of these requirements up front, eliminating surprises and unnecessary change orders.
